Former Sunshine Stars FC player, Suraj Ibrahim, has bid an emotional farewell to the club, its management, officials, teammates and supporters following his departure from the Akure-based side.
Ibrahim, who spent several years with the Owena Whales, took to the media to express his gratitude to everyone who contributed to his journey at the club, describing his time with Sunshine Stars as one filled with unforgettable memories.
Reflecting on his time at the club, the player wrote:
“What a journey it’s been for me with this Sunshine Stars FC badge on my chest. Wow, so many lovely memories.
It was an honour to represent this massive club that has produced legends called the Owena Whales.
“A special thank you to the fans. The love you guys showed towards me from day one till the last day will never be forgotten in a hurry.
“Sincerely, I hate to say goodbye, but it’s not in my hands but of God. I will always love this club. Goodbye.”
The player also expressed appreciation to the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA), the management, chairman, coaching crew and all members of staff for their support throughout his time at Sunshine Stars FC.
Suraj Ibrahim’s departure brings to an end an important chapter of his football career at Sunshine Stars, where he created lasting memories and shared memorable moments with the club and its supporters.
As he begins a new chapter, new phase and new challenge in a new environment, he leaves with the best wishes of the Sunshine Stars family as he continues his football journey.
