NPFL: Kennedy Boboye unveiled As New Sunshine Stars Manager

Sunshine stars Football club of Akure today unveiled former Plateau United coach Kennedy Boboye as Technical Adviser.

The former Abia Warriors and Heartland manager agreed to join Sunshine stars Fc following the sack of Edith Agoye who led the team to a 14th place standing on the Nigeria Premier Football League log.

Other technical crew members unveiled alongside Kennedy Boboye include, Kayode Julius (Chief coach), Nwachukwu Ifeanyi (Assistant coach) and John Gaadi (Goalkeeper trainer ).

Also unveiled was 2013 AFCON winner, Godfrey Itama Oboabona.

Oboabona made a return to the team following successful spells with clubs in Europe.

He is expected to add his wealth of experience to the team as Kennedy Boboye gets set to lead the team back to winning ways.

Kennedy thanked the management of the team for giving him an opportunity to serve and lead the team again

He sought the corperation of all stakeholders and promised to give his best.

“I’m glad I’m back home, Sunshine stars remain in my heart, with God and the collective support of everyone we shall succeed and achieve the desired results,” he said.

Present at the unveiling ceremony, Permanent Secretary were Ondo state Ministry Youth and Sports development, Mrs Foluke Daramola Administrative Secretary, Ondo state football agency Ijeh B.M.

Others were Coordinator, Sunshine stars Fc, Mr Tokunbo Akinyelure, Team manager, Sunshine stars FC , Seun Betiku, Chairman, sports writers association of Nigeria, Ondo statechapter, Mr Segun Giwa among others
