The Secretary of Niger Tornadoes FC, Jibrin Haruna, has appealed to supporters of the club to strictly adhere to the directives issued by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), warning that failure to do so could result in severe sanctions, including banishment from their home ground in Minna.
Haruna made the appeal following the NPFL’s final warning over reported security breaches and misconduct during the club’s recent home fixtures.
He urged fans to maintain order and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship, stressing that the club’s ability to complete the ongoing league season without disruption now depends heavily on their conduct.
“Our supporters have always been our strength, but at this critical stage, we must show responsibility and discipline. We cannot afford to lose our home advantage because of avoidable incidents,” he said.
The club secretary emphasized the importance of complying with all matchday regulations, including respecting restricted areas, refraining from acts of intimidation, and cooperating with security personnel at the stadium.
Haruna warned that any further misconduct could trigger NPFL disciplinary measures, which may include relocating the team’s home matches away from Minna.
He, however, expressed confidence that fans would respond positively to the appeal and support the team peacefully as the season approaches its decisive phase.
“We are calling on all our fans to rally behind the team in a civil and orderly manner. Let us finish the season violence-free and protect the pride of Niger Tornadoes,” he added.
