Finalists have emerged in the Ikare Zone of the ongoing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Sports Festival sponsored by the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT), as athletes and teams booked their places in the state finals scheduled to hold in Akure.

The GMT-organised sports festival had begun on Nov. 6 with opening ceremony in Ondo and had moved to Owo and now concluded in Ikare.
In the football event, Team Ikare defeated Arigidi by 4–1, securing the zonal ticket to represent Akoko Division at the state grand finale.
In the game of Wrestling Olalekan Bayo emerged first, while Leke Folorunsho came second and Alaba Solomon emerged third for the zonal competition.

With the Ikare Zone concluded, the attention of organisers and sports enthusiasts now shifts to Okitipupa, where the next round of zonal contests will hold on Friday.
