Nottingham Forest Sack Ange Postecoglou After 3-0 Chelsea Defeat

Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Ange Postecoglou following their 3-0 home loss to Chelsea, the club has confirmed.

The City Ground outfit relieved the Australian tactician of his duties less than six weeks after he took charge on September 9, replacing Nuno Espirito Santo.

Postecoglou failed to win any of his first eight games at Forest, drawing two and losing six, and secured just a single point from his five Premier League matches.

Forest confirmed the news in a statement after the full-time whistle at the City Ground, saying:

“Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect.

“The Club will make no further comment at this time.”
