Speaking after signing the dotted lines, the experienced coach expressed his readiness to justify the confidence reposed in him by the agency and to steer Sunshine Stars back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

ODSFA Chairman, Mr. Ogbonnaya, described the appointment as a “deserving one for a true son of the soil,” expressing optimism that Akinfolarin’s experience and passion would drive the team’s ambition for promotion.

Sunshine Stars FC are set to begin their NNL campaign this weekend with an away fixture against Edel FC in Awka, as they aim to secure a promotion ticket at the end of the season.
