Jesus FC of Ondo on have emerged the winners of the maiden edition of Jomav 5-aside football competition after defeating Velocity FC of Akure 3-2 in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw in duration time.
The matches of the competition hosted at the Tofowomo Arena in Akure,featured 25 teams with Ogbu FC also of Akure emerging the third place winners after defeating BBFC 2-1.
A total of N1 million was shared amongst the first three teams with Jesus FC getting N500,000, Velocity FC getting N300,000 and Ogbu FC getting N200,000
Speaking, a representative of the Headline Sponsors Jomav Homes and Properties Dotun Fajulugbe,the competition was a huge success especially for bringing talents from across the State together to battle for the ultimate prize while equally calling for more participation from other teams and brands at the next edition.

According to the Ambassador of Tofowomo Sports Arena Dayo Johnson he said that owners of the facility are aiming to make it a hub where sports talents can converge to horne their skills even as there are plans to host a Table Tennis Tournament in August.
“As you can see this facility a modest one where we intend to attract different sporting talents even apart from football there are plans to host a Table Tennis Tournament in August and you can look forward to another Sports spectacle “
