The Ondo State Sports Council has rounded off its End-of-Year Sports Fiesta, a thrilling two-day competition held across the council’s various sports facilities on Wednesday and Thursday.

Staff of the council were grouped into four houses Green House Blue House (Mr. Fidelis Fabidun), White House (Dr. Babatunde Henry) and Yellow House (Mr Olusola Oke) to compete in five exciting events including Ayo Opon, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Dart and Football.
After intense competition, Green House emerged overall champions, finishing top of the medals table with 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal, while Blue House placed second with 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze. White House finished third with 2 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze, while Yellow House placed fourth with 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.

Events were staged across key council facilities with Table Tennis decided inside the Table Tennis Hall, while Dart, Ayo Opon and Volleyball took place inside the Indoor Sports Hall.
Football matches were decided at the council’s football pitch, between Green House and Yellow House. Green House went on to claim victory with a lone goal.
Top officials including Mr. Fidelis Fabidun, Mr. Olusola Oke and Dr. Henry Babatunde were present during the Volleyball final, while Kayode Falusi (Sports Council Auditor), Lebi Omotayo (Director of Planning, Research and Statistics) and Mrs. Olarewaju Lade (Deputy Director, Organizing) jointly presented trophies to deserving winners.

The council assured that the fiesta will now become an annual sporting tradition to further promote unity, fitness and camaraderie among staff.
