Former Sunshine stars coach,Gbenga Ogunbote, Henry Makinwa and Ex-MFM handler Fidelis Ilechukwu are the three top contenders for the vacant Sunshine Stars job after Coach Kabiru Dogo’s departure from the club was confirmed to journalists on Monday.
The chairman of Ondo State Football Agency,ODSFA Alhaji Tajudeen Akinyemi, made this known to blitziksports.com
According to the experienced football administrator and agent, sunshine stars would take a decision on who to choose among the coaches after the board’s meeting.
Coach Gbenga Ogunbote who previously managed Giwa fc of Jos and now Lobi Stars in the 2019/20 season is considered by many fan to land the job based on his relationship with the club in the past.
“Soonest we’ll announce our new coach. It’s between three people now, Ogunbote, Makinwa and Ilechukwu. They are the three major contenders. We will announce the new coach very soon,” Akinyemi
“To make our choice, we want to hear that they can help us to play on the continent, we want to know about their football philosophy, we want to know how grounded they are with grassroots and development of young players.”
Meanwhile, Coach Kabiru Dogo has confirmed he will join the Makurdi based team,Lobi Stars for the 2020/21 season.
